Dr. Faye Pappalardo
President

As President of the college, I welcome the new academic year with excitement. The new year marks the beginning of implementation of my strategic initiatives for FY2011, and heralds the start of a new year for learning and student success. I look forward to the accomplishments that lie ahead of us.

My annual strategic initiatives advance the six priorities in the college's multi-year strategic plan, Compass: Student Achievement, Instructional Programs, Technology, Assessment/Improvement, Facilities Enhancement, and Institutional Advancement. The initiatives guide faculty and staff efforts for the coming year in these core commitments in pursuit of the college's vision.

The initiatives are listed on page 3, along with the coordinators responsible for their implementation. Also listed are the Strategic Plan Reporters, who will report to the college community next May on the progress the college has made on each initiative.

I am pleased to report that our outstanding faculty and staff have had a high rate of success in realizing the goals surrounding these initiatives. I want to extend my appreciation to all employees for their hard work and dedication.

We approach the coming academic year with the hope that all who enter our doors will find a supportive and welcoming environment at Carroll. We will continuously assess the effectiveness and efficiency of the college's programs and services, and use the findings to improve.

Dr. Faye Pappalardo
President
