Marketing communications materials and enrollment data are displayed for 12 market segments: adult education, adult personal enrichment, business training and services, career and continuing professional education, child development center, credit student recruitment, credit student retention, diversity and inclusion, Foundation and institutional advancement, Hill and STEM Scholars honors programs, Summer Kids and Teen College, and Visual and Performing Arts.

The External Environment
(October 2018). The first of three environmental scanning reports in support of the development of Compass 2025, the college’s next five-year strategic plan. Shared at the October 29th meeting of the Planning Advisory Council, the report includes detailed information about Carroll County population and housing trends, land development projects, resident business expansion projects, and County occupational demand. Also identifies major postsecondary education competitors and their current and trend in market shares of first-time full-time freshmen and part-time undergraduates. Discusses stakeholder expectations, including goals in the Maryland State Plan for Postsecondary Education: Student Success with Less Debt, and standards for accreditation of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Closes with EDUCAUSE’s “signals from the future” and current college enrollment projections.

Fall Credit Enrollment Analysis
(November 2018). A comprehensive analysis of fall third-week credit enrollment at the official census date, including sources of students, retention rates, demographics, placement test results, high school graduate enrollment rates by high school, programs of study, FTE enrollment by discipline, average class size, and enrollments in online and hybrid courses.

Environmental Scan for Program Planning
(December 2018). The second environmental scan, prepared for the Five-year Instructional Programming Committee. Includes an ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) analysis of Carroll County household incomes, Maryland state occupational demand forecasts, and identification of new and emerging occupations nationally.
