Students Give College Faculty and Services High Marks

The latest findings from the institutional research office find students highly satisfied with the instruction and services they receive at Carroll. Last fall, in a written survey completed in sampled classes, 828 students rated 30 different aspects of the college. While high ratings were the norm across the board, five areas stood out at the top of the student ratings:

Faculty, for their attitude toward students and the quality of instruction
The advising staff, for their helpfulness to students
The college website
The library
Campus buildings and grounds

In the spring of 1999, the college began routinely surveying students to assess their satisfaction with the college and the services provided by college staff. This, the most recent survey, was of credit students attending in fall 2003. Continuing Education students will be surveyed later this year.
