Partners Campaign Enters Community Phase

The Carroll Community College Foundation, Inc. organized the first major gifts campaign to benefit the college in 2004. To date the Partners Campaign has raised over $2.6 million. Proceeds support student scholarships, nursing and allied health equipment, instructional technology, and library and learning resources. Kelly W. Hill, a 2004 graduate of the college, is chair of the campaign.

The campaign, which began with meetings with individual Carroll County donors, entered its public phase in fall, 2005. A special evening of entertainment featuring the Westminster Ballet Theatre served as the official kick-off.

This spring, the campaign enters the community phase.

“The general public is being invited to invest in the college to support the wonderful opportunities here for students,” said Steve Wantz, executive director of institutional development and the college Foundation. “We’ve already experienced a 40 percent increase in scholarship support as a direct result of the dollars raised to date. We believe the campaign continues to be ripe for growth.”

Anyone who wishes to learn more about the campaign, serve as a volunteer, or wishes to invest in the campaign, may contact Wantz at 410-386-8154 or swantz@carrollcc.edu. For more details about the Partners Campaign or the Foundation, visit www.carrollcc.edu.
