Recent Institutional Research Reports

The following reports are available in the Institutional Research office (M-257) and on the network J drive under “IR Reports FY2007.”

Credit Enrollment Analysis, Academic Year 2005-06
(July 2006). Enrollment is analyzed by source, market share, and persistence to the following term. National Student Clearinghouse student transfer data are used to calculate student persistence rates to complement institutional retention rates.

Sykesville Center Enrollment Analysis, Fall 2004-Spring 2006
(August 2006). Enrollment at the college’s Sykesville location is examined from its inception through FY2006. Credit and continuing education enrollment trends and student profiles are included. Findings from surveys of Sykesville students are reported. A detailed analysis of marketing activities and expenditures is included.

Student Persistence and CCSSE Data
(September 2006). Data measuring persistence in three time frames—course success, term-to-term persistence, and degree progress—are reported. Analyses from the Maryland Model of Degree Progress, now incorporated in mandated state accountability reports, are included. Selected response patterns to the college’s administration of the Community College Survey of Student Engagement in 2004 and 2006 are reported.

Performance of Intermediate Algebra Students in College Algebra
(September 2006). The relationship of performance in MAT-099 to performance in MATH-128 is examined. A detailed analysis of final grade distributions is included.

The Transfer Mission: An Overview of Recent Data
(September 2006). Transfer is a student persistence success, not a retention failure. This report provides an analysis of transfer rates, destinations, and performance of the college’s students.

Fall 2006 Credit Enrollment Report
(October 2006). Reports credit enrollment as of the official fall census date, focusing on year-to-year changes in headcount, FTEs, and discipline course enrollments. Also includes data on developmental education needs and enrollment, student demographic patterns, high school market shares, and enrollments in online, hybrid, extension, and other flexible learning formats. Enrollment of first-time, full-time students increased 18 percent from the prior fall.
