Official, third-week credit enrollment totaled 3,115 students in fall 2005, a record for Carroll. Headcount was up 1.4 percent from last fall.
Part-time students were responsible for the overall increase, as those enrolling in fewer than 12 credits increased 4.3 percent from fall 2004 to reach 1,788. This was the highest number of part-time students ever enrolled at the college. Part-time students account for 57 percent of the credit students in fall 2005.
The number of students enrolled full-time fell by 2.4 percent. The 1,327 full-time student count in fall 2005 is the second-highest full-time total, trailing only last fall’s record 1,359 students.
Estimated full-time-equivalent (FTE) enrollment eligible for state aid reached 927, an increase of 1.5 percent from last fall. FTE converts the hours taken by full- and part-time students into their equivalent in full-time students. (Eligible FTE excludes out-of-state students, employees, and their dependents.) Fall FTEs are at an all-time high. |
