The Learning Resources Network (LERN), a professional organization for lifelong learning professionals, has designated Carroll Community College’s Summer Kids@Carroll as one of the top twelve “Best Summer Kids’ Programs at Community Colleges.”

Summer Kids@Carroll, a tradition for many Carroll County families, had over 1,300 registrations in summer 2008. Over 100 half-day and full-day programs will be offered in summer 2009. Children age 3 to 13 can choose to enjoy learning about art, dinosaurs, drama, forensics, Harry Potter, languages, LEGO Robotics, pirates, technology, world cultures, and other topics.

The state Department of Health and Mental Hygiene recently licensed the program as a summer day camp. Call 410-386-8100 to receive the complete schedule of Summer Kids@Carroll for 2009.
