Recent Institutional Research Reports

The following reports are available in the Institutional Research office (M-257) and on the network J drive under “IR Reports.”

Comparative County Support Analysis, FY2008

(March 2009). Compares the support provided the college by Carroll County to local support of other Maryland community colleges in terms of local aid per FTE student, local aid as a percent of college revenue, and local aid to the community college as a percent of county expenditures.

Annual Marketing Communications Report, FY2008

(March 2009). Detailed analysis of marketing campaigns and expenditures in fiscal year 2008. Covers publications, advertising, direct mail, outreach events, college homepage, and media relations efforts.

Employee Survey Findings, Spring 2009

(August 2009). Reports the findings from the May 2009 web survey of college employees, and includes results from the surveys in 1999, 2002, 2005, and 2007 for trend analysis. The services provided by 76 offices were rated, along with several aspects of campus climate, personal job satisfaction, and college leadership. Statistically significant changes from 2007 are identified.

Carroll County High School Market Analysis

(August 2009). Historical and projected enrollment in CCPS high schools, enrollment of CCPS graduates at Carroll, and enrollment of CCPS grads at other Maryland colleges and universities, are analyzed. Includes data for each Carroll County public high school.

Carroll County Adult Learner Market Analysis

(August 2009). The second in a series of environmental scanning reports, this analysis examines population forecasts for Carroll County through 2019. Residents age 25 to 39 are forecast to increase by 42 percent or 14,158 between 2009 and 2019. The report focuses on the enrollment, interests, and characteristics of this age group.

Fall 2009 Credit Enrollment Report

(October 2009). Credit headcount increased a record 13 percent to reach 3,913 in fall 2009. Record enrollment from the County high schools, plus highest-ever retention rates, produced the unprecedented enrollment increase. First-time students, transfers-in from other colleges, and returning “stop outs” were all up 20 percent. Nearly a quarter of the students used the college’s tuition payment plan.
