College Sets Annual FTE Enrollment Record

Carroll Community College set an enrollment record in the fiscal year ending June 30, 2003. College-wide enrollment reached 2,267 full-time-equivalent (FTE) students, up 10.9 percent from FY2002.

Annual credit enrollment at the college increased by 9.7 percent in fiscal year 2003. This was the third consecutive year of nine percent annual growth in credit enrollment. At 1,694 FTEs, credit enrollment is at an all-time high.

Noncredit enrollment in Continuing Education and Training increased 14.4 percent compared to FY2002. The 573 FTEs were an all-time high for CET.

Web Standards Committee Created

The president has approved the establishment of a Web Standards Committee to guide on-going development of college websites and other Internet-based technologies. The Web Standards Committee is chaired by Vince Leisey, director of publications and communications design. It is a committee of the Technology Advisory Group, which reports to the college-wide Planning Advisory Council.

The Web Standards Committee will establish and maintain standards for content management, information architecture, and visual design. It will recommend departmental procedures and training in support of web services.

In addition to Vince Leisey, the committee consists of Peter Anania, Alan Bogage, Bryan Costin, Rick Gould, Joel Hoskowitz, Stevie Krumrine, Tim League, Sally Long, Kay Shattuck, Laurie Shields, Bill Warburton, and Adam Willard.
