The 14th Annual Random House Book Fair will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Carroll Community College from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. A series of kick-off activities will be held the day before on Friday, March 4 beginning at 1:30 p.m. Proceeds from the Book Fair benefit student scholarships at the college.

A silent auction will be held throughout the day in the college's Babylon Great Hall. Discounted books will also be sold throughout the day. The Carroll County Public Library will host Children's Story Time, and Professor Wizard's Wonders of Science will once again captivate audiences of all ages.

The kick-off to the Book Fair on Friday, March 4 will include a Senior Adult Book Sale from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m., a book talk with Leo Bretholz at 2 p.m., two showings of the Disney movie Tangled at 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., and coffeehouse readings with author Kendra Kopelke at 7 p.m.
