Commission Approves New Teaching Degree

The Maryland Higher Education Commission has approved the college’s proposal to offer an Associate of Arts in Teaching (A.A.T.) degree. The new degree parallels the first two years of a baccalaureate in teacher education and provides a seamless transfer of credits to Maryland four-year institutions. Carroll students who earn a passing score on the PRAXIS I skills proficiency test and earn a grade point average of 2.75 or above may transfer all credits to Maryland public and private four-year institutions without further review.
