David Booz has joined the faculty of
Carroll Community College as an associate professor in the Teacher
Education program. A Civil War buff, he also teaches History
of the United States to 1876 (HIST 105).
Mr. Booz has joined the college after
retiring from the Carroll County Public School System. He began
his 30-year career in education teaching seventh grade at North

Prior to becoming a full-time faculty

in higher education present itself when it did," said Mr. Booz.
"I have always wanted to teach college-level courses on a full-time
basis."
Mr. Booz earned his undergraduate degree
at Frostburg State College and a M.A. in history from West Virginia

from Western Maryland College (now McDaniel College). He is a 30-year
