College Welcomes New Hill Scholars

On Friday, Sept. 9, 2011, 20 new students were welcomed to Carroll Community College as incoming members of the Echo Class of the Hill Scholars Program.

The Hill Scholars Program is a selective-admissions, honors cohort program that includes honors courses linked by a common theme, seminars, and extra-curricular enrichment opportunities. The program offers students enriched learning experiences that foster intellectual inquiry, critical thinking skills, a passion for life-long learning, and an active learning community of students and faculty working together. At the end of the two-year program, students earn an associate degree as well as the Hill Scholar designation. Scholarships are available for qualified students.
