A total of 4,103 students attended Carroll Community College in credit courses in fall 2012. Eighty-seven of these students were also enrolled at another college or university last fall. This rate of concurrent enrollment in two or more institutions of higher education, at 2.1 percent, was low compared to community colleges nationally. The average rate of concurrent enrollment among two-year, public colleges in the U.S. last fall was 4.7 percent. These data come from the National Student Clearinghouse Research Center.
Only six of the students were enrolled full-time at Carroll. Eighteen of the students were enrolled full-time at their “other” school.
The most popular institutions attended by these concurrently-enrolled Carroll students were the Community College of Baltimore County (25 students), Stevenson University (14 students), and Towson University (11 students). In all, Carroll students in fall 2012 were also attending 29 different institutions.
