Early Childhood Education Workers Pursuing a Degree Receive Assistance

In conjunction with the Maryland State Department of Education, Carroll Community College has begun implementation of a fund to be used for students pursuing an education degree who presently work in the early childhood education field.

The Child Care Career and Professional Development Fund allows students to be reimbursed for course work leading to a degree in early childhood education or a related field. In addition, the fund pays for books and fees incurred each semester.

Students who have been employed in early childhood education for at least one year, and are participating in the Maryland Credential Program, are eligible to apply for this fund. A fact sheet detailing eligibility and access to the fund can be found on the MSDE website- www.marylandpublicschools.org.

For additional information or questions regarding the fund, please contact Carole Williamson at 410-386-8383 or cwilliamson@carrollcc.edu.
