Student Persistence Data to Inform Retention Strategies

(February 2005). Includes data on final grade distributions, course pass rates, term-to-term retention, degree progress after four years, and selected findings from the Community College Survey of Student Engagement.

FTE Enrollment Growth,
FY1999-FY2004

(March 2005). Analyzes enrollment increase at Maryland’s fastest-growing community college.

Degree Progress of Fall 2000 Entrants After Four Years

(April 2005). Presents graduation, transfer, sophomore status and persistence data for students starting college at Carroll in fall 2000. Outcomes are reported at the end of four years for the entire cohort plus three subgroups: students entering college-ready, students completing all developmental requirements, and students not completing their recommended developmental courses.

Developmental Course
Enrollment Analysis, Fall 2004

(June 2005). Analyzes student needs for developmental education, developmental course enrollments, developmental course pass rates, and the relationship of developmental education to degree progress.

Employee Survey Findings, Spring 2005

(September 2005). Presents findings from a May 2005 survey of Carroll employees. Scale means and favorable/unfavorable ratings for 67 campus services and offices are presented. Includes data from surveys conducted in 1999 and 2002 for trend analysis.

Enrollment Projections through FY2014

(September 2005). Presents MHEC and institutional projections of fall credit headcount and FTEs, annual continuing education FTEs, and total annual FTEs. Institutional forecasts derived from the Age Cohort Model.

Annual Marketing Report, FY2005

(November 2005). Includes detailed analyses of marketing efforts and expenditures on advertising, publications, direct mail, and public relations in support of 12 marketing campaigns conducted during fiscal year 2005.

Listening to the Millennials:

(December 2005). Reports findings from two focus groups held in conjunction with new student orientation in August 2005. Opinions about choosing a college, First Advising Sessions, preferred media, viewbook design and content, and proposed taglines are presented and analyzed. Twelve students aged 17 to 19 participated.
