On Saturday, March 5, 2016, Carroll Community College will hold its 19th Annual Penguin Random House Book Fair, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The free admission event features national Penguin Random House guest authors, new book sales discounted 20 percent, and fun for all ages. Guest authors include Cindy Woodsmall and Judy Schachner. Woodsmall is a New York Times best-selling author who has written seventeen works of fiction and one of nonfiction. Schachner is a New York Times best-selling author/illustrator of 23 books for children, including Skippyjon Jones.

On Friday, March 4, the college will hold a senior adult afternoon from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. with book sales, workshops geared towards seniors, and an author book talk. Also on Friday, the college will present the movie “The Good Dinosaur” at 4:30 and 7 p.m. Tickets are $3 per person and are available by phone (410-386-8150) from Monday, Feb. 29 through Thursday, March 3. Tickets may also be purchased in the Theater in the Scott Center on Friday, March 4 beginning at 4:00 p.m., while they last.

All proceeds from the Penguin Random House Book Fair directly support student scholarships and help make the dream of higher education a reality for Carroll students. The generous support of our local community sponsors makes this possible.
