Kelly Frager Appointed to
Board of Trustees

Kelly Frager has joined the Carroll Community College Board of Trustees as the newest member of the seven-member board. Appointed to the board by Maryland Governor Lawrence J. Hogan, Jr., Frager attended her first Board meeting on January 20, 2016.

Frager is well-known as owner of Etiquette for Everyday, based in Mt. Airy since 2008. She is a speaker and trainer focusing in the areas of communication skills, business etiquette, interviewing success and civility. Up until the time of her appointment, Frager served in the non-credit area of the college as an adjunct faculty member, teaching customer service, interviewing skills and networking courses. Previous to founding Etiquette For Everyday, she worked in corporate human resources and training.

“I am excited that Ms. Frager has been appointed to serve on Carroll Community College’s Board of Trustees,” said College President Dr. James D. Ball. “Ms. Frager has outstanding knowledge and experience in helping to shepherd organizations in meeting their missions and reaching their goals. Her leadership experience will certainly benefit our college and our student population.”

David O’Callaghan, chair of the Carroll Community College Board of Trustees, said about Frager’s appointment: “I enthusiastically welcome Kelly to the Board of Trustees. Her background as an entrepreneur, her passion for excellence, and her desire to represent the public’s interest will enable her to serve the college with distinction.”

“It is an honor to serve Carroll Community College and support the school’s mission of meeting the postsecondary educational needs of the county’s residents and business community,” said Frager. “I look forward to this opportunity and to being part of the future of this college that so proudly represents our county."

Frager has a Master of Science in Human Resource Development from Johns Hopkins University. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Penn State University. Her most recent volunteer experiences include Goodwill Industries of Monocacy Valley where she serves on the board and was named Goodwill Ambassador of the Year in 2014. She also serves on the Penn State University Parent’s Council, in a higher education advisory role.

Frager has worked with numerous panels and committees within Carroll County Public Schools and served as a Parent Teacher Association president and committee chair. Her community memberships include Mt. Airy Women in Motion and Mt. Airy Chamber of Commerce.

Frager has been married for 23 years to her husband Todd. They have three children Katie, Megan and Ryan.
