On April 10, the Carroll Community College Foundation drew the winning ticket in its “Drive One Home for Students” raffle. Susan Zirpoli of Westminster had the lucky ticket, among the 1,029 sold. She accepted the cash option of $20,000 in winnings, rather than driving home a new Honda. Because of the community support of this initiative, the Foundation raised net proceeds of over $29,000. “We were so pleased by the outpouring of generosity and the excitement that this raffle raised, both on campus as well as throughout the community,” said College President Dr. James D. Ball.
