Happy Spring! Now that we are all well into the swing of the semester, I hope that you are experiencing a productive and gratifying year.

I am happy to share that our college is setting trends in several areas, thanks to the innovation and hard work of our dedicated faculty and staff. The stories in this issue illustrate my point.

The effort to redesign transitional education has been recognized nationally as a Bellwether finalist. Carroll is one of thirty colleges across the country that were designated as finalists.

The opening of our new Cybersecurity lab demonstrates how the college is on the cutting- edge of preparation for jobs in the industry. Our equipment is state of the art. The faculty come from within the profession. And the community support for Cybersecurity training is second to none.

Another trend-setting accomplishment goes to our talented Theatre students. They received recognition during the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival in Winchester, Pa. this January. All phases of theatre production, including directing, set design and stage management, were deemed superior.

I am proud to see how Carroll shines among its counterparts in many areas. Not only is Carroll a model college in setting high standards, but our faculty and staff are to be commended for their original approaches to mentoring and educating students.
