State Transfer Scholarships Available

Carroll Community College students who are transferring to a four-year institution in Maryland may be eligible for a $3,000 scholarship.

To qualify, students must complete an associate degree or earn a minimum of 60 credits. They must also have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better. All academic majors are eligible.

Under current regulations, students must have a combined family income of $80,000 or less to qualify.

The HOPE Transfer Scholarship can be renewed for two years provided the student maintains a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average at the four-year institution.

The service obligation requires that the recipient work one year in Maryland for each year the scholarship is received, and that the employment must begin within one year of graduation.

Students should apply as soon as they are eligible. Grants will be made until all appropriated funds have been awarded.
