On Dec. 16, 2008, twenty-four graduates of the physical therapist assistant program at Carroll were recognized during a ceremony in the theater in the Scott Center.
The graduates, having completed their Associate in Applied Science degrees, were eligible to take the national license exam in January. All program graduates were employed or had offers of employment to begin after their licensure.
“This ceremony recognizes the intense amount of work these students put forth and the sacrifices which family and friends made so that the students could complete the program,” said Sharon Reid, director of the P.T.A. program at Carroll.
Kathryn McGinty was the student speaker. Christina Conner and Bria Crites received the Academic Excellence award for achieving a 4.0 grade point average. Conner also received the Clinical Excellence award.
