“Dr. Ohlemacher has a demonstrated commitment to the philosophy of a learner-centered institution,” said Dr. James D. Ball, the new president of the college. Dr. Ball is the third president of the college and is also the former Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs at Carroll.

“She is an effective change agent who has developed a shared vision, who communicates effectively with constituents and can implement new strategies. She also brings strong insight into how to work in partnership with student development and student support functions.”

In her new position, Dr. Ohlemacher will provide leadership for all credit instruction and student learning and support areas, in addition to serving as an integral member of the college’s executive team.

Most recently, Dr. Ohlemacher was director of Learning Outcomes Assessment and Instructional Development at Carroll. Additional prior professional experience includes serving as learning outcomes associate at Edison College; dean of instruction at Northcentral Technical College; executive assistant to the vice president of Business Services and Technology Services at Manpower, Inc.; and adjunct instructor in the English department at Lakeland College, among other progressively responsible positions.
