New Summer Teen College Joins Summer!Kids@Carroll to Expand Youth Offerings

Youth ages 13 through 15 now have a new option for summer camp as Carroll Community College launches Summer Teen College. This program is being offered in conjunction with Summer!Kids@Carroll for children age three to 12, which is now in its eighth year. Both programs begin June 25 and end Aug. 10, 2012.

Weekly enrichment classes covering topics ranging from careers to cooking to technology will be available for teens through half-day and full-day programs.

"Youth who have attended Summer!Kids@Carroll over the years have grown and matured. They are now interested in topics which appeal more to teenagers. We hate to see them leave the program so we just made the program better by accommodating their needs and interests," said Senior Director of Lifelong Learning & Program Support Systems Sally Long.

"Teens who attend the new classes will have more choices, responsibility, and independence," said Long.

Favorite Summer!Kids@Carroll classes will return by popular demand, and new classes will be offered as well. For the full schedule, see www.carrollcc.edu/summerkids, contact 410-386-8100, or visit www.facebook.com/personalenrichmentatcarroll.
