Nursing Student Receives Scholarship
Nursing student Tabethia Pardoe has received a scholarship from the Maryland Hospital Association (MHA). Pardoe was one of 17 recipients of the 2007 MHA Hospital Scholars Award. Students considered for the $2,500 scholarships are required to be Maryland residents, enrolled in a Maryland school, and employed or volunteering at a Maryland hospital. Adjunct Instructor Appointed to Statewide Board
Richard Hann, adjunct psychology instructor, has been appointed to the Maryland State Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists. The Board provides for the examination, licensure, certification, regulation, and discipline of professional counselors, marriage and family therapists, and alcohol and drug counselors within Maryland. The independent board, established by state law, falls under the administrative umbrella of the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Members are appointed by the Governor.
